LATEST NEWS UPDATE – 2 September 2005

I started windsurfing summer of 1981 right behind my house on the island I grew up on in Florida. Windsurfing was something totally innovative and was just starting to be cool and become popular. Back then the only boards around were the Original plastic ‘Windsurfer’ brand boards with teak booms and metal universal joints. When the wind came up, you had to pull out the daggerboard and carry it on your arm as we blasted around. Wave jumping involved jumping a wave and then jumping off the board, because no one had invented foot straps yet.... click here for more

Neil Pryde Ltd. would like to provide an updated status report on the NP RS:X

As stipulated by the International Sailing Federation, the first 500 NP RS:X board and rig components are to be distributed to Member National Authorities of countries that competed in the 2004 Olympic games or recent ISAF World Championships. Distribution of the NP RS:X has already commenced and to date over 100 boards have left the factory... click here for more

Following on from the appointment of the Neil Pryde RS:X as the new Olympic Windsurfing boards and rigs, Neil Pryde Ltd. would like to provide a status report.

Since the ISAF Evaluation event in September 2004 from which the RS:X board was selected the equipment has been fine tuned. At the request of ISAF, Neil Pryde Ltd. has worked with its partners to produce a board that will be durable... click here for more
